iPhone 3GS Dies....

Written by Ted Freitas
So have you evert had your iPhone crash? Well I just had this issue the other night and I have to say thank god for AppleCare! So, I get a dead iPhone returned to me by one of may employees. Prognosis, cant the device turn on or do a system restore. So we tried and tried to get that bad boy to restore but no matter what we tried nothing worked! We even hooked it up to my Mac and still no dice. So I was forced to call up Apple and have them assist me get the device back up and running.

I ran through all the troubleshooting with the AppleCare representative and finally we determined that the device was probably dead, but we had to let the "professionals" look at it, do they not know who I am?!?!?! Great I'm thinking more wasting of my time. The rep schedules my appointment a day out for an Apple Genius to look at the unit to make sure it's DEAD. So I head down to the Apple store for my 7:30p appointment after a bit of waiting (was there too early & it turns out there is a big demand for the "Apple Geniuses") we tried the same tasks to recover the phone and then realized that hey it's dead. Long story short we ended up a getting a brand new iPhone 3GS. To top it off we even got the Invisible Shield that was on the old iPhone replaced by the Invisible Shield kiosk in the mall, turns out that there is a lifetime warranty of the Invisible Shield product!
So I guess my recommendation would be is if you thought that AppleCare was a waste of money, I'm here to tell you PURCHASE THE APPLECARE PRODUCT ON ALL APPLE EQUIPMENT, you will not be sorry!
