I got a call from a customer yesterday and she was trying to get her Outlook calendar items to synchronize onto her new iPhone. I'm sure she read something online or just figured, hey it's an iPhone so I need to get the mobileme service to accomplish this. She was even contemplating buying a Apple computer to accomplish the task at hand.
Since this client is one of our TotalCARE customers we pre-configured her iPhone profile at our office in CA and sent then sent the pre-configured profile over to her phone (in Florida!) 10 minutes later we had her up and running! We spent another 30 minutes catching up about crazy stuff in our life, which was the best part to me!
So the moral of this story is 1) You don't need to have Apple's mobileme Service to get your corporate e-Mail, Calendar, Contacts or Notes to synchronize to your iPhone 2) If you are in the market to buy a new phone, call us and we will give you our honest opinion of what the best phone "we" think is 3) Once you get your new phone call us and we can help you setup the phone correctly the first time!
